"I took the Natural Balance out for a very rugged test spin. I solo hiked the Eastern Section of the Devil's Path in New York, crossing 4 of the 35 Catskill peaks over 3500 feet. Here's what Back Packer Magazine had to say about the Devil's Path to give you an idea of how challenging this trail is.
The steep assents and deep descents on Devils Path were way beyond what I needed to answer my questions about the Natural Balance's ability to negotiate hands and feet scrambles up and down rocky faces, across narrow ledges and and along steep scree slopes. I'm happy to say the pack exceeded my expectations. It performed as advertised and better. Just about all the burden of the 40 pounds I carried was transferred equally to the front and back of the hip belt. That left my torso and arms free to use my poles to their maximum effect.
I'm 63 years old with that many years of collected knee and back injuries. I couldn't have enjoyed the Devil's Path as much as I did without the Natural Balance Body Pack."

“I recently took the Natural Balance Bodypack to the UK where I completed the Lands End to John O’Groats Walk—1,050 miles in 57 days, i.e. an average day of walking 18 to 24 miles.
Having had a lumbar discectomy a few years ago, and a history of neck and upper back problems, it was essential that the pack and hipbelt put minimal strain on my lower back, neck and shoulders. I found that at the end of each day, I had no soreness or tiredness in these areas. Further, my overall fatigue level after 8 to 10 hours walking was surprisingly low, given that I was carrying an average daily load of about 13 kg.
The fore and aft balancing worked well—I found that I had good balance when it was really needed; going up or down steep gradients, rock-hopping, crossing streams or on slippery surfaces. The backpack proved 100% waterproof. Thanks for helping me to realize a dream!”
